Advocating For Employee Rights
Navigating the intricacies of employment law demands a skilled advocate who understands your rights and is prepared to fight. I founded the Advocate at Work law firm so that I could support employees in a variety of areas, including:
- Employment plaintiff issues: Advocating the rights of employees facing workplace injustices
- Wage and hour law: Ensuring fair compensation and overtime pay
- Age discrimination: Fighting against age-based workplace bias
- Harassment: Standing up against all forms of mistreatment in the workplace
- Wrongful termination: Seeking justice for unjust employee dismissals
- Whistleblower – qui tam: Protecting those who expose corporate wrongdoing
- Appeals and trials: Skillfully navigating appeals and litigation for our clients
With a seasoned investigative approach, I tackle cases aggressively and strategically, backed by my in-depth understanding of employment law.
How It Works
Getting started with an employment law claim can be exhausting. Often, clients are torn between wanting a fair result and feeling overwhelmed by the price and process. I offer an intake and assessment process that will help you understand your situation and define your goals as we work toward protecting your rights. My approach includes steps such as:
- Interview. We’ll have an in-depth conversation about your work situation
- Evaluation. I’ll talk to you about your potential legal claims and what it will take to move forward.
- Inquiry and demand letter. I will create correspondence with your employer that discusses your concerns and potential remedies. I will be your advocate. I will follow up with them by phone to ensure your voice is heard.
- Mediation. When there is a potentially viable claim, I will request mediation, which typically takes up to two days. I will prepare you and your case to help you meet your goals.
- Litigation. While many situations can be resolved outside the courtroom, I am willing and able to fight for you in court. Often, this means that the issue takes longer to resolve and may involve more risk, such as the case being dismissed.
- Appeal. In the event your litigated result does not match your needs and goals, I have significant experience in appeals and can bring an appeal on your behalf.
- Follow up. I am here for you through every step of the process. We will discuss my fees during our consultation. I do not believe in nickel-and-diming you. You will not have to worry about accumulating charges for every phone call or question.
